Ok, so I asked the question awhile back (don't ask me how long ago, I've slept since then). Which is better, Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall? Well for me, the winner is… wait for it, wait for it, Dark Side of the Moon. Yep, I know, some pissed Floydster's out there. The Wall is phenomenal, but it's a tad long and near the end (Waiting for the worms, Stop and The Trial) kinda loses me. I know it's the judgement phase of his departing sanity. But this album is quite the investment (aren't all of the PF albums) and at this point I've lost my sanity just like Pink. Have you ever listened to an album and thought, nope there's no way this can get any better? No changing a note or cutting a song or solo? Well that's DSOTM. Nothing is out of place, nothing is wasteful. It's pitch perfect and complete. It has focus and purpose and never strays one step from the line. Also when you hear a cut from this album it makes you want to hear the whole damn thing. With TW, I'm ok hearing individual cuts (Comfortably Numb anyone? or maybe my two favorites of the album, Mother and Vera). Does anybody hear remember Vera Lynn? I do, but I'd rather see her on the dark side of the moon.
